Fundrasing

Friends for Leisure is funded through a number of different income streams including Cheshire East Council, Lloyds TSB and Children in Need.

However to continue our services at a high level, a substantial further amount is needed. Here are some examples of what fundraising could provide:

Volunteering

Volunteers’ give their time for nothing, however Friends for Leisure believe that these people need training and support to allow them to fully assist families. £140 could recruit and train a volunteer befriender

Recreational activities

Social activities can greatly enhance the quality of disabled people’s lives. Music and drama workshops increase confidence and life skills. Trips out with groups provide opportunities to forge friendships, develop interests and be an active part of the community.

£500 could pay for 6 weeks of music sessions for a group of disabled children.

How can I help.

If you would like to make a donation please contact Anna Maddox in the office on 01260 275333. Alternatively if you have time to give and would like to help with fundraising there a couple of ways you can do this.

Friends for Leisure Events

We always welcome additional pairs of hands at the many fundraising events we run throughout the year. If you are working towards a volunteering award any hours you help out will contribute. For upcoming events see our Hot news page.

Your own events

Friends, family or work colleagues can have lots of fun doing the things they enjoy, knowing that every penny you raise will help children and young people with disabilities.

Or why not get people to sponsor you to do that sky dive or marathon you have always wanted to do. Let us know about your event in advance and we will advertise it on our Hot news news page and provide a fundraising pack.
