Katie’s thank you

Hi, my name is Katie Hughes.

Over my many years at Friends for Leisure, I have enjoyed cinema, swimming, watersports, martial arts, games in the park, crafts, disco, drumming with Musical Moments, the Animal Lady, falconry, making milkshakes and cocktails, making pizza, going for meals out, seeing shows including the Ghost Train and Elf the Musical at the Daneside theatre. My last session was the coffee and cake fundraiser, where I met the Town Mayor of Congleton, and my job was helping on the cake stall, which raised lots of money.

At Friends for Leisure I’ve had lots of fun, made lots of friends, and got more confident. I especially enjoyed my role as 15-Up Representative, and meeting one of the Trustees, Mel, who was really nice. I will really miss 15-Up, but I hope to keep in touch with some of the friends I made, maybe seeing them at other activities such as Good Company, the Wednesday/Sunday discos in Macclesfield, Galaxy Group, Baking for Fun, or trampolining in Knutsford. I also hope to join everyone for the Carol Singing at Handforth Dean in December. See you there or be square!

Bye for now,

Katie H.
