Friends for Leisure, is about to benefit from the generosity of guests at the highly prestigious Summer Swing Charity Golf Day and Gala Dinner. This annual event, held at The Mere Golf and Spa, was hosted on 12th July by Andrew Chatterton, Managing Director of Franklyn Financial Management Ltd of Congleton.
Most of the money raised on the day, a total of £147,000, will contribute to the St James’s Place Charitable Foundation, the philanthropic arm of St James’s Place, a leading UK wealth management company. The Foundation makes a positive and lasting difference to people’s lives by awarding grants to charities registered in the UK to assist them in the incredible work they do every day.
For the past three years, FFM has chosen to allocate some of the proceeds from the Summer Swing to a single charity, and, this year, chose Friends for Leisure.
The Summer Swing was attended by Friends for Leisure Chair of Trustees, Paul Walker, and colleagues. Paul talked about the work of the charity to the guests. A video was shown explaining the difference that Friends for Leisure can make.
Paul Walker said, “The money that Friends for Leisure will receive will help us to continue making such a difference to the lives of disabled young people. We are immensely grateful to Franklyn Financial Management for their support.”
