Hello, I’m Cameron. Thursday 17th September was my final Friends For Leisure activity before I go back to university and before I turn 21 in October.
I have been an FFL member for the past four or five years. During my time at Friends For Leisure I have become more outgoing and confident, as well as this FFL have helped me gain amazing friends and helped me get a volunteering role at a local community café in Congleton. Without FFL I wouldn’t be where I am today, an independent young man who would still be a shy, quiet, non-communitive young adult.

Over the past five years I have enjoyed a wide variety of activities such as meals out, arts and crafts, informative talks and many more enjoyable activities. My favourite activities were the meals out and the film nights. All of the Friends For Leisure staff and volunteers have been very warm, welcoming and accommodating for me and all of the young people involved with the charity and the different abilities of everyone.

I am so sad that my time at Friends For Leisure has ended and that I have to move onto the next chapter of my life. FFL will always have a place in my heart, and I am sure that whenever I am in Congleton and am passing the FFL Office I will be popping in to have a catch up with all the team.
