1 to 1 friendship

What happens?:
Friends for Leisure will aim to find a volunteer friend with similar interests to yours to go along to an activity with.
If you are younger than 12, you can decide with your parents what organised activity you would like to do. This could be Brownies, sports or something else. Then Friends for Leisure will aim to find a volunteer to be a buddy for you to go to the activity with.
If you are 11 or over, Friends for Leisure will aim to find a volunteer for you to have a one-to-one friendship with. Then together, you can meet up and do what friends usually do together – go to the cinema, meet for a coffee, go for a walk or a more organised activity.
Cost:
There’s no charge for having a friend or a buddy. The only costs involved will be those of the activities or events you choose to attend.

What happens?:
Regular Youth Group for you to take part in fun activities, buy a snack from the tuck shop and chill n’ chat with your new friends. Sometimes we arrange to go out together. See the Activities Calendar for details about each night’s activities.

PALS (Personal and Life Skills)

PALS (Personal and Life Skills)

Age-group:
Individual sessions may be aimed towards particular age ranges but the PALS programme aims to provide sessions for ages 5-21 across the year.
What happens?:
A chance to meet others and have fun whilst focusing on developing a particular personal or life skills including things like health and fitness, appropriate friendships, planning a trip, first aid, social skills, cooking and more.
