Christmas Fundraisers

This year Friends for Leisure were lucky enough to have two Christmas fundraisers, which were carol singing at Handforth Dean retail park and helping out on Santa’s float around Congleton and Handforth! 

Carol Singing

On Saturday 7th December we had a space in the foyer of Tesco and M&S in Handforth Dean and we were accompanied by a brass band. Some of our registered young people came along to sing, as well as some young people who were previously registered with us! We all had a fabulous time and would like to thank every one who donated, collected, sang and played, and to Tesco for allocating us a space. We raised an amazing £512.40!

Santa Float

On Wednesday 4th of December, staff and volunteers from Friends for Leisure helped out with the Santa float in Congleton, and again on Monday 9th of December in Handforth, giving the chance for children to speak to Santa before Christmas day! Not only does the Santa float give chance for young people to speak to Santa but any donations received go to local charities. Altogether we helped to collect £700 which will go to local charities, including us!
